Ravetllat Aromatics is one of the oldest independent fragrances and flavours manufacturers in Europe. Based in Barcelona (Spain), we have been in operation since 1932 and have since grown to become an established fourth-generation family business with a global footprint.

Our Story

Ravetllat Aromatics is a family business dedicated to fragrances and flavours since 1932.
1932
Founder Josep Ravetllat starts trading as a distributor for Givaudan in Spain.
1962
Second generation (Jorge & Ernesto Ravetllat) sets up to design and manufacture fragrances and flavours independently in Barcelona.
1995
Third generation (current CEO Silvia Ravetllat) joins the family business.
1999
ISO 900:1194 certification obtained for the design and manufacturing of fragrances and flavours.
2001
First automated manufacturing robot is added to increase production capacity and efficiency.
2006
Opening of new state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in Barcelona.
2011
Upgrade of our flavours laboratory facilities.
2013
Expansion of on-site manufacturing facilities in Barcelona, doubling production capacity.
2015
Opening of Ravetllat Mexico sales office, marking the company´s commitment to growth in Latin America.
2016
Opening of Ravetllat Middle East sales office in Dubai, strengthening the company´s existing footprint in the Middle East.
2017
85th Anniversary of Ravetllat Aromatics.
2019
Strategic investment of Ylang Ltd in Ravetllat Aromatics´ share capital, to further strengthen the company´s international expansion.
2020
Ongoing upgrade and expansion of manufacturing and creative facilities in Barcelona.
2024
Upgrade and expansion of flavours R&D and manufacturing facilities in Barcelona.
